Remtr
(Яemtr)
Presentation
This
presentation is to brief the project ideas of the Remtr to get supports from
people and make it happen.
What
is Remtr?
Remtr
is the word made of “Remoter”, “Motor” and “REM Sleep”. We dream while we are
in REM sleep. Remtr is the dreamer. Remtr is the community getting all kinds of
people together and closer, such as remote workers, motor travelers and those
hit by crisis. The purpose of the project “Remtr” is to develop the communities
with good intensions.
Remtr
is the communities to help each other at their homes. Remtr is the peer-to-peer
online platform, which engages the local and global communities to support each
other by sharing their home spaces and amenities with neighbours and travelers.
Hosts
can start their own business by utilising spare spaces and amenities at their
homes.
Guests
can save time and money by visiting the hosts nearby their destinations.
Remtr
facilitates the fluid interaction, communication and supports within the
communities. Remtr improves economical efficiency, time efficiency and the
quality of lives for all people. Remtr is not just catering for the needs, but
also creating the better society.
Case Studies:
Host, Isabella “Hey, we have some
spare spaces and amenities available although we can’t provide a bedroom at
night. Can we still utilise them and have guests here? So we can earn some
extra income.”
Host, Olivia “Hi, I use the
Remtr. You can do your home business using this peer-to-peer online platform
and get some money. You can even make a lot of friends there.”
Host, Charlie “Hey, I run
short-term rental at my home. It is very popular and getting guests everyday.
But now I have to limit the nights when I can share my home with guests due to
the new laws and regulations in my area. I am losing a part of my home
business. What can I do?”
Host, Robert “There are some
restrictions to the home accommodation sharing in some regions, such as limited
number of nights per year, and limited number of properties per host. The Remtr
is not the accommodation sharing community. So the hosts can also combine it
and enhance the efficiency of their home business. It’s free to register and
begin. You just pay small fee when you get paid from guests. It’s worth
trying.”
The
Case: Office Space for Remote Workers.
Guest, Dan “I am working from
home, but there are lot of disturbances because of the noises, and my family
often try to talk to me when I really need 100% focus. I’d like to have the
good working environment near my home. But I can’t afford to have an office for
myself and some co-working services are too far from my home.”
Host, Sarah “We can provide
co-working space, private working room and meeting room on demand nearby your
home. WiFi is available as well. So you save time and money while enhancing
your work efficiency. You can cook your lunch here as well. Or you can have a
lunch with your family at your home since it’s so close to your home, and
continue working here in the afternoon.”
The
Case: Garden for Private Parties.
Guest, Barbara “We want to have a
nice garden party. But we don’t have the garden at our home. There are some
function spaces available but it’s far and expensive.”
Host, James “We have a large
garden in the beautiful district of your neighbourhood, where you can enjoy
your private party. Please book as soon as you can because this place is very
popular.”
The
Case: Shower for Emergency.
Guest, Sophie “The shower got
broken at our home and there is no hot water available. And the plumber says it
will take weeks to repair. What can we do?”
Host, Jessica “We have a shower room
available near your home. You can commute here everyday and take shower until
your shower room gets fixed.”
The
Case: Shower and Kitchen for Car Travelers.
Guest, Paul “I am a car
traveler. I sleep in my car, so I can save a lot of money for the trip. But I’d
like to take the hot shower and have the home cooked foods to stay well and
healthy during the journey.”
Host, William “You can come to
our home to take the hot shower, cook fresh food and dine on the table. You can
even clean your clothes in the washing machine while you stay here. Once you
refreshed yourself, you may continue your journey, and you should be able to
find more hosts near the next destinations via the Remtr.”
The
Case: Kitchen to Cook Healthy Meals.
Guest, Jack “I only have a
microwave and a kettle in my kitchen, but I want to cook proper foods
sometimes.”
Host, Megan “We have a lovely
dining kitchen. People can visit, cook and have meals here. You are more than
welcome, too.”
